  Yum! Came here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Which means happy hour all day folks! Discounts on margs, tacos and tortas. We split the salsa trio and a side of shishito peppers. Then each ordered two tacos. I personally had the sweet potato and overnight brisket. Both so tasty, but the brisket one definitely hit it out of the park. We also ordered the coconut/ginger and cilantro lime margs. I preferred the latter, but you can't go wrong with either. Would 100% recommend all of the above!
  
  Great staff and close to TD Ameritrade Park, so a great place to go if you're heading to an event around there. One thing I thought rounded out 5 stars was their Tuesday platform. Each week your table can receive a discount on your meal this specific day if each guest puts there phone in a provided box while you eat. LOVE this concept, never seen that before, but definitely a great idea!

  I was very hesitant to try Mexican in Omaha, living in San Diego and traveling to Mexico all the time. But hell I went for it because I love Mexican !!
  
  I was with my brand new boss of two days and definitely didn't want to disappoint but the yelp reviews said it was a great place so of course I trusted the reviews. We went here and the menu was a perfect size -not too large or small... and they had tortas which I only had once before in my life and it was delicious when I had it. My boss didn't know what to order so followed my lead of ordering a torta because they looked delicious from yelp photos. So we split two tortas in half the el jefe and el Hermano... both were super delicious and I honestly can't decide which was better
  
  Prior to our meal we also ordered trisalsa dip and the chips and salsa were both great!

  Was in Omaha for work and we decided to try the Hook and Lime, although advertised as a tapas restaurant, it is really a taco place.
  In fairness I'm from South Texas and am comparing the food here to the Tex-Mex cuisine I eat all the time.  
  With the large group we were able to try most of the items;
  the chips and salsa were decent,
  The queso has black beans in it and a lot of grease, it was not very good.
  The shrimp empanadas were ok.
  I ordered the poblano and onion tamales-- these were very good, but needed more filing. They were about 90% masa and 10% filling.
  The tacos were all just okay, but nothing stood out as excellent.
  The churros tasted like fried chicken and were the worst thing we had there. Terrible closing item that left a horrid taste in all of our mouths.
  The beer was cold.
  The margaritas were mixed well.
  Server was excellent.
  Service - 5 stars
  Value - 2 stars
  Ambiance - 4 stars
  Food - 3 stars.
  Drinks - 4 stars
  If you're craving Mexican food in Omaha, this will suffice-but just barely.

  Excellent upscale taco joint.  We came during happy hour so enjoyed some delicious margaritas and queso to start.  The fish tacos had the perfect fried crunch with the deliciously dressed slaw.  The al pastor taco was moist and paired wonderfully with the pineapple slaw.  And the shrimp tacos were grilled and amazing.  Definitely recommend!

  After months of trying to get here, we were so pleased to finally try Hook and Lime. My expectations were far exceeded!
  
  The environment: pallet wood, corrugated metal, Edison bulbs and the like make for a relaxed, but still very appealing dining space. The music they played was great: stuff you'd recognize, but nothing too overwhelming and loud.
  
  The menu: their choices are not as plentiful as some others around Omaha, but what they do have is EXCELLENT. The options are creative and very pleasing.
  
  The good stuff: their food...is so good. We tried four different tacos: the cod, the brisket, the sweet potato and the beer braised chicken. They were each very satisfying. We ended up ordering another round of the cod and the brisket because they were so scrumptious. Each one has a good balance of flavors and none of the options were skimpy by any means. We also tried the friend avocado and it was a great way to start the meal!
  
  Service: our waitress did a great job. Things started to pick up toward the end of our stay, and we were in a weird spot (tucked behind a pillar) but she still gave us great service.
  
  Bonus: they had a Groupon! Be sure to check!
